These terms and conditions apply to all quotes, estimates and work carried out by AB Construction Ltd ("we", "us", "our") for customers ("you", "your"). By accepting a quote or asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
All quotes are free and provided without obligation. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date given unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on the information and access available to us at the time of the quote. If the scope of work changes once we're on site, for example unexpected structural issues or access problems, we'll discuss this with you and agree any revised cost before continuing.
Larger projects, such as extensions, loft conversions and full renovations, may require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due on completion or in agreed stage payments. Smaller jobs are typically invoiced on completion. Payment terms will always be confirmed in writing before work starts. We accept payment by bank transfer.
If you need to cancel or postpone a booked job, please give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a call out or materials charge if work has already been prepared or purchased for the job.
Unless agreed otherwise, we source and supply all materials required for the job. If you'd prefer to supply your own materials or fittings, we're happy to discuss this, though we can't guarantee the quality or suitability of materials we haven't sourced ourselves, and this may affect any warranty on the finished work.
You're responsible for providing reasonable access to the work area, including parking where needed, and for ensuring the site is safe to work on. If access is restricted or the site isn't ready on the agreed start date, this may affect the project timeline and cost.
Where a project requires planning permission or building regulations approval, we'll advise on this as part of the quote process. Responsibility for obtaining planning permission rests with the property owner, though we're happy to manage this process on your behalf as part of the agreed scope of work.
All work is carried out to current UK building standards. We stand behind our workmanship and will put right any defects arising from our work within a reasonable period after completion, at no extra cost to you. This does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or work carried out by others after our job is complete.

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
